History
Offshore Electronics was formed in September 1990, following the successful management buy-out (MBO) from Eurotherm (Guernsey) Limited. Of the four current working Owner / Directors, three were founding members and they continue to lead the business today, supported by a experienced management team that has provided the stability and technical expertise essential for long term growth and success.
The MBO was followed by substantial bricks and mortar investment, which resulted in a purpose built manufacturing, prototyping and production facility. Continued investment in people, plant and equipment has been paramount to meet the ever changing requirements of our customers. Today, visitors to our contract electronics manufacturing centre in Guernsey will see some of the most advanced, high speed automated assembly systems, capable of delivering unrivalled levels of precision, repeatability and quality.
Our investment in the best electronics production equipment and processes has always been matched by our policy of recruiting and retaining the most experienced electronics, sales, procurement, production, test and quality engineers. We now have a 70 strong team, a high percentage of whom have been with the company for many years, offering a unique combination of knowledge and skills that add real value to every customer.
Our founding ambition was to build a business that offered the best possible electronics contract manufacturing service – a service that provides OEM customers a reliable world class manufacturing partner who will work closely to improve the performance, quality, cost and functionality of their products.
That ambition has been at the heart of our business for over 30 years. Today, with a company that remains entirely owned by its Directors, manufacturing facilities that are among the most advanced in the industry and an experienced and loyal team of electronics specialists, Offshore Electronics continues to deliver a standard of service that is second to none.
